THANK YOU for being such an important part of our first 25 years. We truly appreciate it!

As far back as I can remember, my son Adam has been a LEGO fan, and like many other fans he still has several LEGO products displayed around our home. I first contacted LEGO when Adam was five years old (he turned 20 this year) and I was given a tour of what was then their model shop, which was in a small building near their U.S. Headquarters in Enfield, CT. I Stayed in touch with LEGO over the next five years and I was there when an opportunity came up to partner with them. That opportunity has grown into a great working relationship for of almost 10 years.
It's fitting that one special memory stands out the most in all my years in the trade show business includes my son Adam and LEGO. It's not everyday you get to see George Lucas walking around a convention center, but it was definitely one of the many reasons why Star Wars Celebration V was an event that holds very special memories for me. It was also very special because I was able to bring along and share it with Adam and LEGO's Event Marketing Manager.
In keeping with the theme of the event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, the LEGO booth design was based on the planet Hoth, which was featured in the opening of the movie. The booth featured a suspended canopy fabric graphic that covered the entire booth with a LEGO Snowspeeder flying in the Hoth sky. A tension fabric ice cave that served as a store was chock full of LEGO product. There was an onsite build of a Boba Fett LEGO model by LEGO Master Builder Erik Varszegi. The actor, Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba Fett was in the booth signing autographs for the fans. Angus MacLane, a Pixar employee who has worked on every Pixar release since A Bug's Life including as the directing animator on WALL was also on hand autographing boxes of LEGO Star Wars collectibles Cube Dudes. Angus is an avid Lego builder. You can check out his many creations (including Wall-E, Carl Fredricksen and more) at his flickr account.
The Main Event of Star Wars Celebration V was a Jon Stewart interview with Star Wars creator George Lucas. The interview was amazing and included appearances by Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia and Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga's.
It's great to work with a company like LEGO and I'd like to extend a special thanks to the entire LEGO team for giving me/us the opportunity to work with them and to be a part of the LEGO experience.
